No, you do not need a credit card to sign up for the Free Plan or the 14-day free trial.
You only need to provide a credit card if you want to move to a paid plan or purchase additional email credits.
Data is stored across multiple AWS availability zones in the EU region.
Once your 14-day trial expires you will need to provide a credit card to continue access to a paid plan. If you choose not to continue with the paid plan at the end of the trial, then your account will automatically be migrated to the Free Plan at the end of the trial.

When cancelling your Account, the Account will be scheduled for deletion, after which all data will permanently be deleted.
Data can also be manually deleted by a user prior to cancelling their Account.
